Does this sound familiar?

"We have loads of learning resources and programs for our community but we're not sure if they're actually which are making a difference."

How I can help

Strategic learning support for Canadian nonprofits and charities. Every engagement starts with understanding your situation before recommending anything.

Build a learning strategy & plan

Your resources exist but nothing connects them to your mission or to each other. I help you build a learning strategy that does, with a clear link to your organization's strategic plan and a path to make it real.

Make your learning program stick

You built the program and you believe in it. But the community isn't showing up the way you hoped. I find out why, make recommendations about what stays, goes or needs a new build.

Choose the right solution

Something new is needed but you don't know what, how much it should cost, or whether to build, adapt, or outsource. I help you figure out what you need ensuring  your budget goes to the right solution.

I'm Christina Desormeaux
Senior Learning Consultant

After 20 plus years as an instructional designer, I made a deliberate move into consulting. Not because I stopped loving the craft, but because I kept seeing the same gap across every sector I worked in. Government. International development. Healthcare. Defence. Nonprofits.  I kept seeing well-intentioned courses with no real learning outcomes, good courses with no way of knowing if they made a difference, and resources that excluded the very people they were meant to serve because nobody had checked whether they met basic accessibility standards.

The missing link: A strategic learning plan and well designed resources to support it. That groundwork changes everything. So I decided to focus on exactly that.

I chose Canadian nonprofits because their mission to help others aligns with mine. These organizations use education and learning as tools for change, building capacity and reaching people in their often hard to reach communities. That kind of work deserves careful planning behind it. That’s something worthwhile to wake up to each day!

When I'm not doing that, you'll find me outside. Hiking, climbing mountains, walking dogs (sometimes ones that aren't even mine), and reminding myself that the best ideas rarely happen at a desk.
